A brief information
about Andhra Pradesh
Kurnool as a capital city of Andhra Pradesh in October 1st 1953. As per the linguistic basics Andhra Pradesh and Telangana join to and formed Andhra Pradesh state in 1956, November 1st. Then that time Andhra Pradesh have only 20 districts. In 1970, February 2nd prakasam district , In1978, August 15th Rangareddy district and 1979,June 1st Vijayanagaram district and then in 2014, June 2nd, Telangana separated from Andhra Pradesh and formed as a new state. At present the capital of Andhra Pradesh is Amaravathi, and contain 13 districts, 9 in costal Andhra Pradesh and 4 in rayalaseema.

Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur, Prakasam, Nellore.

Official
language : Telugu
Telugu is one of the oldest
language in India. Along with telugu, In 2008 Indian Government gave classical
statue to Sanskrit, Tamil, Kannada languages also. Andhra Pradesh state official
language is Telugu. After Andhra Pradesh, highest number of Telugu speaking
people are living in Telangana,Yanam. People who have their mother tongue is
telugu they are living all over the world. According to 2011 census, Total
population of Telugu speaking people is eight and half crore and occupies third
place in highest spoken language in India, after Hindi, Bengali. As a spoken
language Telugu occupies 15th position in world.
State’s tree : Neem Tree (margosa tree)
Neem tree can be seen in each and every village. This has
tremendous medical value. So Andhra Pradesh Government recognized it as official
tree. The scientific name of the tree is Azardirachta Indica. Nimtree
and indan lilac is a tree in mahogany family maliaceae.
State’s Official
Emblem : poornakumbham
Poornakumbham is created by Telugu
people as sacred, happy augury one and
is arranged during marriage and gruhaprawessam like auspicious occasions. This
is recognised by the state government as state’s Emblem.
State’s sport : kabaddi
Kabaddi is a contact that
originated Andhra Pradesh and ancient India. Kabaddi is an Umbrella term which encompassed
various forms of the game including International rules kabaddi. Generally
kabaddi sport is seen in every village.
This sport is recognised by the state Government as State sport. Not
only Andhra Pradesh, Punjab also declared Kabaddi as its official sport.
State’s animal : Black buck
This is a beautiful animal which
has long curved horns. This is also known as Indian antelope. On it’s skin
different beautiful coloured sport can
be seen. This animal is recognised by the state Government as state’s Official animal.
The scientific name of this deer is Antilope cervicapra.
State’s dance : Kuchipudi
Every telugu person fell proud of
Kuchipudi. Which is an exclusively a telugu dance. The birth place of this classical dance is Kuchipudi
village in Krishna District. The dance is very popular on the name of the
village. It prevailed since older days, but with no popularity. This was performed by men only in temples.
But in 15th century Siddhendra Yogi a famous Kuchipudi dancer made some
changes that are suitable to women.
State's
Bird : Indian Roller
This Indian Roller bird belongs to
Roller family. This recognised by the government as official bird. This bird is
also known as blue jay. The scientific name of this bird is coracias
Benghalensis
State’s Flower : water lilly
This water Lilly can be found in
almost all ponds. This recognised by state Government as official flower. This flower has long stalk and appear
in white, rose and blue colors.
